The State of the Local Food System - Our 10th Annual Assembly

2019 marks the 10th anniversary of the only conference that brings together leaders from the food co-op sector, farmers and food system activators to share knowledge, build new skills and develop strategies for advancing the local food system. This momentous event will be delivering sector specific workshops, sessions specifically geared towards each type of co-operative, governance, public speaking, member engagement, our troubleshooting sessions, and much more!

The second day of the assembly will be dedicated specifically to exploring how the co-op and local food sector can develop a strategy to address emerging issues within the Ontario system. This is a rare opportunity to collaborate towards a stronger more robust food system in the future.  Tickets go on sale soon!

This year, being our momentous 10th Assembly, we have decided to change the structure a little and are having a panel discussion with speakers from across the local food industry including farmers, change-makers, and business owners to local food advocates who are seeing and experiencing the changes in the local food system, particularly in the past 5-10 years.   In addition, we are still hosting our workshops and as well as sessions specifically geared towards each type of co-operative, governance, public speaking, member engagement, our troubleshooting sessions, and much more!
